KRA - Inter Squad COD4 Tourny
- Posted on 07 March 2008 - ooopy

What is more fun then having fun with your friends on xbox live. Well thats what KRA has decided to do. Due to time constraints and players not wanting to be tied to playing in competitive matches, we've decided to run a fun tourny amongst ourselves. Captains were chosen that included Abom, Holdem, Iggy and Ooopy and a meeting on msn was set up to pick our teams. Each captain when his turn came up was able to pick a member of KRA to be part of his squad. The end results was having teams of A BOM and his WTF's, Holdem and his Rushing Lushes, Iggy and the Booby Traps and Ooopy and the DD's.

After our first week of games with a lot of laughter and bragging rights, the captains held the first "Free Agent Draft" round. In this free agent draft were KRA players that hadn't been able to be in first round due to xbox difficulties but were now up and able to play. It was discussed and since FU5 members were always in our rooms anyways to include them into the Free Agent Draft. We were given 7 members of FU5 that wanted to participate in the event and they were drafted. Our teams are as follows

I met Goodi one night... he showed me a good time... and I haven't regreted one second of it.

What do you do when you not wearing KRA letters (this means hobbies, home life etc.)
Well, I work for Caterpillar, Inc., just doing warehouse stuff, and I am going to school for criminal justice. I play on a semi-pro football team in the summer, and I also really enjoy food. It is good. All the time.

What is your drink of choice?
(BEER) Finnegans... Only in Minnesota baby!!!

What is your weapon of choice?
In COD4 I like my M21 or M14 with ACOG... but if I was to make it personal I will sneak my way to you with the MP5... or my all-time favorite... Mr. Knife!

GOODI77
- Posted on 07 February 2008 - ooopy

KRA would like to welcome the newest addition to our Clan Goodi77. Here is a little bit about him.

What is the story behind your gamertag?

My gamer tag is from my nick name that I have had since I was a kid. It's also the first part of my last name; Goodijohn. The 77 is the year I was born.

What brought you to KRA?

Scoot and I played COD4 together a couple of times one weekend when he mentioned KrA to me. After playing on one Wednesday night in a private room with a few of you and seeing how much you guys really can't stand each other I HAD to come and join the madness!

What do you do when you not wearing KRA letters (this means hobbies, home life etc.)

I have four, yes four great kids that I enjoy spending my free time with.

What is your drink of choice?

Mountain Dew gets me through the day but nothing says Friday like Captain Morgan!

What is your weapon of choice?

I have started using the G3 with a silencer quite a bit when the shit hits the fan it's nice to know the overkill allows you to also carry a nice assault rifle with automatic fire like the G36C or DOUBLE NOOB TUBES!!!

KRA Centcom
- Posted on 15 January 2008 - ooopy

Here is a brief overview of the Centcom Members of KRA.

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
RoQ: Been gaming since the days of 28.8 modems... RoQeZe comes from an old Quake v1.0 clan whose call sign was ROQ. Oh, and its pronounced [rock-easy]. I get tired of being called [ro-kez] and the like...

Q: What brought you to KRA?
RoQ: I and a few other like minded gamers brought KRA to the world. We started out gaming for fun and saw an opportunity to add structure. Since its inception, KRA has been about having some fun while kicking some tail. I love most of these guys like brothers!

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters.
RoQ: The canadian business sector consumes most of my day time hours. In the evenings I enjoy spending some time with the family, then of coarse relaxing and blowing off some steam with team.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
RoQ: LOL, I am sure most of these guys would say I am a hot head with a potty mouth sometimes. I guess there might be some truth to it..

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
A BOM: People actually call me that in RL. I dont know why, lol... but they do! Seemed fitting to carry it over to xbl.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
A Bom: I tried the clan thing with two teams before KRA... i didnt know many of them very well so it was more playing for winning and less enjoyment. Skinbom, my close personal friend, stumbled upon a group of guyz that played together all the time. He played with them two or three times before I ever met any of them. He invited me in there one nite, RoQ was running the room... I got a warm welcome and after a week of playing with them, I knew these guys were my kind of people. A month later I was on the team. Scoot was my sponsor...he was the one that recommended they add me and skin to the team. Thanks again Scoot! 2 years later I was helping RoQ run the team.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters.
A BOM: I never take the KRA letters off. I admin the site, take care of problems, team stuff all day long, then play at nite...

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
A BOM: ''Launch Now''

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Scootman: I wish it was more interesting like Serpentor's (sheeesh) but my nickname since i was a newborn is Scooter. Scooter was taken so was Scooter1 and so on. My buddy Stewman was playing and is the reason I ran out and bought an xbox. (formerlly strickly a N64 kid) So I did the Abom Skinbom thing. Stewman...Scootman. And the legend was born. I now go by o Scoot o.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Scootman: Destiny....LOL
Lets see, Xbox live had been up and running for about 4 days I think and I stummbled into a room hosted by some fruitcake named RoQeze. After about a week KrA was formed and the rest is history.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Scootman: Job: If you can swim in it, I can build it or fix it. Unless its an ocean or a lake or some shit. I work in swimming pools. Presently Im the Ex VP of a contracting company that builds high end pools...starting at 100K per build.
Im presently also launching an online business in about a month called caulkmypool.com. If anybody cares feel free to ask.
I own a company and I also trade on the stock market but I dont know if thats a job or a hobby...
Hobbies: I like to play billiards, play guitar/write songs, TRAVEL! pimp my Caddi for the men, I golf, I gamble (craps, blackjack), I play raquetball. You can find me drinkin at the local sports pub watching the GB Packers, at the gym getting buff. Im also close with my family and extended family and that takes alot of time as well.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Scootman: Womanizing, and stirring up the politcal 'pot' as it were here at xblgamerz.com

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Iggy: Its a nick name I have had since I was young. Its based off of my last name.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Iggy: sewer When DBA broke up Sewer and me came to KRA the rest either started up MH or went their own way.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Iggy: Like ABOM I usaly don't take my KRA hat off. During the day I talk to our team mates DC folks and Stuff. In beteen that I am a network manager.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Iggy: Beer and now noob airstrikes

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Serpentor: ... okay, for those that don't know, Serpentor is a comic book character from G.I. Joe. Cobra was the enemy and beyond the Baroness (one hot bitch!!) and a few of some of the cooler Cobra characters, I rooted for G.I. Joe 'cause they were the good guys... until a Cobra decided to try and make the ultimate warrior and created Serpentor **edited much explaination of the DNA was removed to keep the sanity of KRA members**
So, as a kid, I was like, wow... he's one bad mutha fucka! And well, I chose his name 'cause I secretly desire to rule the world.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Serpentor: Like Abom, I was in two clans prior and both time they started out as a fun-lovin' group that had lots of fun no matter what. Unfortunately, both teams fell apart after the greed of winning became the first and only concern of those clans at the time. I was tired of clans all together 'cause it seemed like eventually that's what happened, but I missed having teammates, and I do enjoy matches, so I tried to keep an open mind. I've known Roq, Abom, and a few others since the original Ghost Recon days... although they might not remember, my original GT was Preying Mantis and I started out with Army of Darkness with Heath and the boys. Anywho, I think it was Roq that brought me over.. I don't really remember... something 'bout drugs and a haze... but anyway, here I am and I intend to keep KrA as it should always be: Win or lose, you can Kiss r Assez.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Serpentor: I don't think I really take the KrA letters off either... they're just there, like a Spidey suite. Besides, I'm still workin' on my plan to take over the world, and once I do, I'll need to surround myself with good peeps I can trust, like you all! :)

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Serpentor: I don't really know... I'm sure after this post I'll be known as being long winded... but really, I'm just long.

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Byrd: Sorry I don't have an interesting story but here it goes:
I never played on Live until the 360 launched. But before it did, I copped a great deal on the old XBox's wireless adapter. I had to go on Live with the old Xbox to get the thing set up then change over to the 360. Being a typical guy thinking I knew everything, I started without reading much, if anything at all. Well, Byrd is my last name & I've always been called ByrdMan so I wanted my g/t to be ByrdMan 40 (my age when the 360 launched). Well I guess I did something wrong because Live wouldn't let met recover the g/t when I fired up the 360. It did, however, give me a few suggestions of a g/t to use, one being DeftByrdMan 40. Since I'm somewhat of a wordsmith, I knew that deft meant skillful or clever so I chose it. Further researched showed that a Middle English use of the word meant gentle (the pitch of my voice over Live makes people believe I'm in my early 20's). It's also suggested that deft is a variant of daft, which could mean crazy, foolish, or playful. All of the above describe me so the name stays with very little likelihood it will ever change (except when I turn 50). Every now & then I come across someone calling me "Def T." Sometimes I ignore it, sometimes I correct them. Anyway, that's my story & I'm sticking to it. What's up Iggy! Get The Beak! ! !

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Byrd: Playing Hardwood Spades, I ran into a guy that seemed pretty cool. His name was MORINZO. He'd been playing for a couple hours with another gamer whose name escapes me. The other guy ended up being my partner for a game & made a bonehead play that cost us the hand & the game. He was embarrassed so he quit. Morinzo asked me to follow him into a CoD2 room where I met a few people on the team. After some time, Hittman sponsored me & I became a member.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters.
Byrd: Currently, my hobbies outside of gaming with a bunch of misfits are movies, reading & giving Mami the Beak.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Byrd: Volume, camping, & articulating.

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Ooopy: Its a nickname I was given back in my yahoo chat days and when I started to game my Yahoo Name of Sweet just didn't cut it for the gaming world so I used Ooopy.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Ooopy: Iggy is the brain behind recruiting me for KRA. I had played with Holdem and a few others on MH. Holdem and I had tried doing a clan DRNK just for the fun of it and a few live issues happened with another clan that I lost interest in playing on a clan. Playing with iggy in rooms with the guys from KRA made me miss the closeness of a clan, so here I am.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Ooopy: I tend to wear many hats, KRA is the heart of where I play online, keeps me on my toes. I have an online magazine www.theblueskittle.com that keeps me active in the overall community and allows me to grow as a person. I also am a founder of a gaming charity site.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Ooopy: I know iggy's answer for me is Towels. And I can't forget my laugh.

What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Holdem: Well in case most did not know, for a while I played poker as a side job while in AZ as well as played on internet. Thought about doing it as a career, but then realized did not want to spend life in casino or on laptop playing, so changed my mind. Still play on occasion, and will be playing in WSOP this year

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Holdem: Well as most here, started with MH and after a fallout, I started DRNk with alot who left MH. As we got tired of GRAW we just fell apart. Serpentor asked me to come over and play and since I knew most of you clowns already, it was pretty easy to join up.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Holdem: I am a CIO for an investment management firm. Hobbies Poker, golf, any sport, working out, gaming, collecting wine and love to cook

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Holdem: High pitched whining in dead room, fine wine, and not taking shit from the idiots on xboxlive.

Q: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Nuck: When i signed up for LIVE in Nov. 2002 Meatpants(aka Crazy Larry) suggested it the day i got DSL and LIVE. I never really thought about it till the time came. Well 5 GT's later (NuckFuts=Banned, Nuck72, ItchyNuckSack=was tanked when i made that one!!!, NuckPhutz=banned again!!!) it is what it is. The original tag made alot of laughs in rooms, i miss that.

Q: What brought you to KRA?
Nuck: Serpentor invited me over. I had played once in awhile with some KrA and had a few on my FL. I had given up with clans for awhile before i joined this great bunch of peeps. Serpentor and I were on Mass Hysteria with alot of other peeps here.

Q: What do you do when you aren't wearing the KRA letters. (job hobbies live etc)
Nuck: I am a field service tech for an industrial battery company. I do alot of driving to customers sites so i look forward to taking my frustrations out (from rush hour traffic mainly!!!) on you guys by shooting you all!!! Am currently getting ready to start building my bar, and looking forward for spring to get here quick so i can ride my motorcycle.

Q: What are you known for within KRA (word, drink, action, etc).
Nuck: Whining and complaining about campers and noob toobes as of lately. Beer drinking and talking smack also.

KRA Gives FU5 Clan Much Props
- Posted on 08 January 2008 - ooopy

KRA ll comet ll was playing the other night with FU5 Cleric and FU5 Kona. It seems that she ran into some issues with an idiot on live who started sending her nasty messages after being in a room with her. She wasn't playing with us, and the guys on FU5 watched out for her. Not only did they do a little research on the gamertag of this perv they all removed him from their friends list if he happened to be on it. Turns out this guy has had a history of harassing females, and not only did FU5 check into it they took the time to make sure the Comet was ok.

Wanted to thank on behalf of KRA..much love and respect for this.
